Security Statement
To all our valued customers, your security is our primary focus here at Grandsouth Bank. We take pride in using cutting edge products and technology partners, which helps us provide a protected and worry-free online banking solution to you.
Listed below are the security measures that we follow to help keep your data safe:
Secure Communications
Our system ensures that data exchanged between your PC and our computers are encrypted with 256-bit encryption, which is the strongest encryption available. Encryption is accomplished through Secure Sockets Layers (SSL), which utilizes mathematical formulas to conceal information from prying eyes on the Internet. SSL also guards data when it is sent to the bank if any tampering is detected; the connection will disconnect.
Your browser is an essential part of the overall security measure to help protect your internet banking transactions. Make sure that you keep your browser up-to-date with the latest version.
Secure Environment
Firewalls are used to protect the information on our Online Banking site. Our internet network is isolated via a firewall, which is a combination of software and hardware products that controls and limits the access; that outside computers have to internal networks and databases. You can feel secure knowing that our firewall protects your personal information from unauthorized access.
Secure Login
No one can access your information online without your username and password. The online banking system checks for invalid logins and automatically denies a user after three invalid attempts. This prohibits a 'hacker' from gaining access to our system, thus protecting your accounts.
Make sure to log out of your account once you have completed your transaction, especially if you are using a public computer. If you forget to log off, our online banking system will disconnect you after a certain period of inactivity.
Your Password
You will be responsible for maintaining one of the most important security measures: your password. When you create your Grand South password, be sure to keep it a secret. Memorize it or write it down and keep it in a safe place. It is not recommended you carry your password in your purse or wallet. Make sure no one watches you enter your password and always close your browser when leaving the computer. Never give your password to anyone, whether in person or over the phone.
Make sure you regularly scan your computer for viruses that could be used to capture password keystrokes. You ultimately hold the key to your password security.
We encourage using a strong password that is eight to sixteen characters with a mixture of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Security Browser
Your browser is an important part of the overall security measures designed to protect your online banking transactions. We recommend using the latest web browser, since they are updated with the latest security features:
Microsoft's Internet Explorer |
version 11.0 or higher |
version 84.0 or higher | |
version 38 or higher | |
version 13.1.2 or higher |
